How laws are made at different levels of government; from city hall to congress.
The difference between lobbying and advocacy.
How “grass roots” campaigns succeed.
Can nonprofits lobby without losing their tax-exempt status?
Case studies regarding the passage of recent laws including: The New Jersey Smoke Free Air Act and the Atlantic City Council smoking ordinance.
The role of partnerships to increase leverage.
