The Albert Einstein Memorial Lecture continues to be free and open to the public. This high-profile event memorializes one of the best-known residents of Princeton and commemorates Einstein’s contributions to science and scholarship.
This year’s Albert Einstein Memorial Lecturer is Richard Axel, M.D., a Nobel Prize winner in Physiology/Medicine in 2004. He was bestowed with this achievement for discovering genetic coding that allows us to identify and distinguish thousands of smells. The topic of Dr. Axel’s presentation will be “Scents and Sensibility: Internal Representations of the Olfactory World.”
