Speaker: Scott L. Turner, President and CEO, HMHTTC Response, Inc.
Scott Turner founded HMHTTC in 1993 with $500 and a vision. Today, in just over 12 years, HMHTTC has become known as the nation's leading private sector hazardous materials emergency response team with offices throughout the United States. But how did Mr. Turner accomplish this feat? Join us on January 16 to hear Mr. Turner’s story of facing and surpassing challenges and obstacles by stubbornly not losing sight of his vision.
During this process, Mr. Turner has become recognized as a leading figure in the business of hazardous materials emergency response and the business community as a whole. Mr. Turner has been invited to serve on the CHEMTREC and NIEHS Boards of Advisors, played key roles in the development of hazardous materials emergency response videos, and has been featured and published in fire services and transportation related magazines.
In both 2002 and 2003, HMHTTC was recipient of the NJ BIZ’s Finest Corporations Award; in 2004, Mr. Turner was the recipient of the prestigious Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year Award” for the State of New Jersey; and just last month HMHTTC was named NJBIZ Business of the Year.
