Our annual Entrepreneur University Venture Fair Warm-Up is on Thursday, March 9, at the EDA's Commercialization Center for Innovative Technologies, 675 Route 1 South, in North Brunswick. This is just a mile or so south of Turnpike Exit 9. The purpose of the warm-up is to provide a workshop that helps companies seeking financing in the spring round of venture fairs understand how to develop and make a presentation for a venture fair. We talk about the topics you should include, the different styles of venture fairs, the tools you utilize, and the expectations of the investors who will listen to your presentation. We also discuss strategies for setting up your venture fair booth - what to say, what to bring, what to do. This exclusive event is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to ask questions, learn how present, differentiate between the different types of fairs in the Region, and prepare for the upcoming NJ Venture Fair. You learn the "how-to's" at NJEF, so you're ready to go when you attend the practice sessions, (e.g., the NJ Venture Fair Coaching Session on March 16). If you're not attending or your company was not accepted for the NJ Venture Fair, this event is still for you. We make this session available to all companies that wish to have a practice presentation session, so if you're in the fund raising mode, come to this event.
