The Harvis Organization, an international public relations and marketing agency with national offices in Asbury Park, NJ, has announced its first Economic Investment and Trade Mission to China’s western province of Qinghai, tentatively scheduled for May 2010.

Approximately the size of Texas, Qinghai is China’s fourth largest province and is often called China’s Gateway to the West, located more than 10,000 feet above sea level in the Tibetan autonomous region.

The four day summit, which will be held in the capital city of Xining, will allow U.S. and international investors, an opportunity to financially support $135 billion of infrastructure and business projects, including the building of a solar power plant, which when completed will be the world’s largest totally solar powered facility.

Business leaders will be given first hand knowledge of the many end products produced by 154 projects within the province such as, lithium, nickel, aluminum alloy, and natural herbs as well as, an opportunity to speak directly with supervisors, whose projects require specific materials or technology.

Currently, the agency is seeking funding to support its global integrated advertising and marketing strategy, whose design will not only introduce the province of Qinghai to the world’s investment and business community, but will also enhance their appreciation for China’s Gateway to the West.
