Do You Know The Secret?

Recently I had the pleasure of establishing a new book club for members and friends of my networking organization, American Business Associates. (ABA) It’s a value add that every quality networking group should offer to their members. With books accessible in hard cover, paperback, digital audio and now on DVD, there is little excuse for avoiding the opportunity to become better educated about business and life in general.

I will admit finding time to read in the past was a chore. Now however with the recent technological innovations of the IPOD, MP3 players, etc, increasing one’s intellect has become relatively easy.

Today’s business professional is required to read more then ever. And in case you haven’t noticed, today’s business men and women are also embracing a variety of subjects well outside the box of traditional business publications. Self help, inspirational and even metaphysical books are all the rage. Look at what is being read on the bus or train during your morning commute, The Secret, What the Bleep, Conversations with God, all in the hands of successful business men and women. The evolution of business and networking books has gone well beyond the Chicken Soup for the Soul and Who Moved the Cheese recipe for success.

In 2007, it’s all about The Secret.

Over the past few years’ teachers of The Secret have quietly gained prominence through educators, business professionals and motivational experts. However that has all changed. In 2007 they have become rock stars appearing at Ivy League seminars, on Larry King and Oprah all anointing this New York Times Best Seller as the read of the year. And for once it is a book that lives up to the hype. Conversations about The Secret can be heard around the water cooler or in a corporate board room. It has become a phenomenon that just keeps gaining recognition on a daily basis.

For the record, the secret is one of the worst kept secrets in the world. The secret is not rocket science, it is nothing new. It has been here all along ~ but few of us truly understood it or more importantly knew how to use it. Simply stated, The Secret is based on the Laws of the Universe and quantum physics but don’t’ let that make you yawn. The Secret is something you can truly wrap your arms around and embrace on a daily basis. Once you learn the secret ~ you’ll want to share it with everyone.

So now that you know where The Secret comes from ~ the big question must be ~ ‘what is’ The Secret? (Insert drum roll) The Secret is a book by Rhonda Byrne based on the "Laws of Attraction". Basically, like attracts like. Sounds easy enough ~ don’t you think?

But (there’s always a but) it’s much more then that, the secret is a way of life, one that is being embraced by more and more people every day. For those of you who have read The Secret, you know exactly what I am referring too. If you don’t know you should make every effort to find out. Yes, it’s a bit metaphysical and after the Larry and Oprah shows, very commercialized but don’t kill the messengers ~ it’s the message that counts.

The Secret is all about unlocking the mystery of how to achieve success in ones’ life. This success formula is not limited to business ~ quite the contrary. It is a ‘how to’ book on wealth "Harmonic Wealth". A new phrase perhaps, but one that is sure to become part of the business and educational vernacular in 2007. Harmonic Wealth is comprised of Financial, Relational, Intellectual, Physical and Spiritual wealth. Simply put, "La Dolce Vita" aka: "The Good Life". No, you’re not dreaming, according to The Secret you can have it all. But, here’s the rub, there is work involved. It is ‘not’ simply positive thinking. It is affirmative realization of right action. When using the secret you don’t anticipate success ~ you must participate in your success. The Secret teaches you to stop trying. To quote one of The Secret teachers, "Trying is failing with honor". The secret teaches you to take the Nike tag line literally, "Just do it" in every facet of your life. That is the secret!

Now that you know the secret and if you are interested in a unique self help book that can assist you with every facet of life then The Secret is for you. In addition to the book, there is an audio book and DVD. You can also go online (www.thesecret.tv) and view The Secret video. ($4.95) As you can see, there is no excuse for not knowing ~ the secret to success.

But that’s not all; The Secret also goes one step beyond a traditional business publication. Keeping with its philosophy on life ~ it shows gratitude ~ it gives back. The Secret’s website offers support and affirmations to visitors and (are you ready) there is no cost or obligation. A true rarity in the pay to learn society we usually find on the web. The presentation and support the website offers through The Secret ‘teachers’ is one of the reasons for this books phenomenal success.

As you can see there is a lot to digest. I can go on and on but you need to experience The Secret for yourself.

Don’t be the last to find ~ The Secret.
