“The support from the Jersey City community for Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010 has been tremendous,” said Alfa Demmellash, CEO of Rising Tide Capital. “We are overwhelmed that so many have answered the call to support entrepreneurship and local entrepreneurs. Without our community partners we would not be able to afford Jersey City so many opportunities to connect, learn and grow. And without our generous sponsors, the coordination and marketing of the Week would definitely not be possible.”

About Global Entrepreneurship Week in Jersey City
Global Entrepreneurship Week in Jersey City is designed to promote local small businesses and economic growth at a critical time of the year. It is locally spearheaded by Rising Tide Capital (RTC) in Jersey City in partnership with a host of public officials, successful local entrepreneurs, partnering non-profits, universities and colleges, public agencies and media. In 2009 the Week was a tremendous success that achieved public recognition and state-wide and national media attention, with nearly 20 events over the course of 7 days and over 1,000 attendees. Nearly 30 non-profit organizations, government agencies and their leaders, arts groups, small businesses and corporations came together to celebrate the Week, showcase their services, inspire entrepreneurs and motivate local residents to support the businesses in their communities to spur economic recovery and job creation for our city. RTC has led this initiative for the past three years in the Jersey City area.
